Private, tropically heated indoor swimming pool, in converted barn or outdoor SwimSpa both in stunning locations with far-reaching views of the Dark Peak, the north-eastern tip of the Peak District.  

Your Yorkshire Time’s private pool is heated to a tropical 32 degrees centigrade (it may be hotter depending on the outside temperature and other factors, for example it is 35 degrees at the time of writing, March 2019). It is 8m x 5m in size and has steps into both the shallow and deep ends. In addition to the swimming pool, for a small additional cost, guests can also book the sauna and spa bath which overlooks the pool.


We have now also added an outdoor SwimSpa with panoramic views across the Dark Peak. The Swimspa is a part hot tub and part small outside swimming pool. it is  19’ long and gives you a workout as you can swim against a current. or Simply just enjoy the relaxing bubbles. Perfect for when we can't let our guests use the indoor facilities. You can book these facilities along with any of our property bookings.

Guests of Your Yorkshire Time can book the pool for 75 minutes at a time for their exclusive use, at preferential rates. Please check availability before booking your stay, if your stay is dependent on using the swimming pool and other facilities. 


Members of the public may also request to use the pool for their exclusive use for 75 minutes.

Location

The Dabbling Duck pool is located on the owner’s own nine acre property in the foothills of the Pennines. Surrounded by rural countryside comprising dry stone walls, small hamlets and farms surrounded by fields rising gently to the moors of the Peak District in the distance. The back route from Holmfirth to the Dabbling Duck Pool takes in spectacular Peak District and Holme Valley scenery. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to drive, depending which of Your Yorkshire Time’s properties you are staying in. There is ample private parking in the owner’s cobbled yard.

To make your trip worth while the following attractions are all less than a 10 minute drive away:

  • Yummy Yorkshire’s award-winning ice cream parlour and Hide & Hoof restaurant.
  • Cannon Hall Farm, one of the largest farm attractions in the UK, with it’s multi-award winning open farm, indoor play, adventure playground, shops, deli and restaurants.
  • Penistone, a market town in the foothills of the Pennines with views over the Dark Peak. It has both a community and outdoor market on a Thursday.
