The Perfect Location

Holmfirth is a small Pennine town on the northern edge of the Peak District National Park. The countryside and moors to the south of the town provide unlimited hiking and cycling opportunities. The Tour de France recently went through the centre of the town and up Holme Moss, which offers a challenging hairpin ride with spectacular views. The town itself is full of quirky and steep cobbled streets and stone steps, as well as being home to the Picturedrome, which is a popular live music venue. However, the town is most famous for the TV series Last of the Summer Wine, which showcased the unusual and picturesque nature of the town.
