"The facilities make the stay extra special and Angela is a helpful, welcoming host. This is our fifth trip since 2016. We particularly enjoy the hot tub and the swimming pool."
Canard Cabin is glamping at its best, set in a large garden with a large hot tub and panoramic views out to the Peak District. There is also a charming summer house that guests can use and private parking immediately in front of its own gated entrance. The outside hot tub** is available at an additional fee, as is exclusive use of the heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and indoor spa bath. One bedroomed cabin with 1.5 bathrooms (call to ask how that works!)
The cabin has a wonderful location down a private access track. It is out of site and sound of the main road but is easily accessible from it, down a wide tarmac access track. There are walks right from the door with a public footpath going through the owners adjacent field which leads to a network of paths. The nearest reservoir that has a wonderful walk around it, is only a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive away, there are several others all within walking distance and numerous others are all 10 - 20 minutes drive away, including several in the Peak District national park.
The cabin is made from norwegian logs and has triple glazing on three elevations. It has a small kitchen area with a fridge and microwave combination oven. It has a double bed, small wardrobe, comfy sofa and table and chairs. With a firepit, BBQ, benches and bistro table and chairs on the veranda and on the private pebbled area immediately in front of the cabin. It has panoramic views of the Peak District. It has double patio doors out to a private veranda.
The large private hot tub comfortably seats seven. There is also a charming summer house in the garden if the weather is inclement, but guests still want to enjoy being out in the garden, or for shade if the weater is very hot.
The cabin is currently being spruced up ready to host guests again when Covid-19 restrictions are lifted. More photos will be added as soon as the refurbishment work is completed. See our other properties - Shelduck, Eider, Mallard and Teal for an idea of the quality of furniture, although Canard cabin is much smaller.
Guests also have exclusive access to the tropically heated indoor swimming pool, indoor spa bath and sauna for an addditional cost. From August guests will also have access to the newly installed outdoor 19 foot heated swimspa.
The private shower and toilet which are for the exculsive use of Canard cabin's guests are located in the indoor swimming pool changing room, which is in a converted barn two minutes walk away from the cabin.

The swimming pool is located in a converted barn and has views out over the owners field to the Peak District moors beyond.
